About Us
Committed to enriching the lives of young people & their families
Open House is a non-profit organisation founded in 2020 by Chantel and Katie. Chantel is a Mental Health & Behaviour Mentor and Katie is a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist. Between us we have over 30 years' experience in mentoring, mental health & working in the community.

We provide youth clubs, NEET provisions, well-being workshops, allotment sessions, therapy, mentoring, sports and activities whilst providing a safe environment for young people to socialise, make friends and develop valuable life skills supported by positive adult role models.

We are passionate that no young person should have reduced opportunities because of where they live. We want each young person to feel confident, safe and supported to fulfil their full potential and prepare themselves for a positive future. We aim to reduce social isolation and vulnerability to crime whilst improving mental and physical wellbeing. We specialise in working with young people who are either at risk or have experience of the justice system. We don't judge on your mistakes but help you to be the best version of you that you can be. Our door is open to all and we can’t wait to meet you!
Our Priorities
Youth Empowerment
Unlocking potential, creating change
At Open House, we believe young people’s voices have the power to change everything. We’re passionate about creating space for young people to speak up, lead, and shape the future. Through creative projects, leadership opportunities, and real community action, we help young people turn ideas into impact. When young people are heard, confident, and equipped to lead — real, lasting change follows. Their voice isn’t just part of the conversation — it drives it.
Positive Futures
Rising above. Shaping what's next
At Open House, we support young people to build resilience, make positive choices, and unlock their potential — no matter the challenges they face. Growing up in deprived areas can bring real risks, from negative influences to involvement in crime, but we believe every young person deserves the chance to rewrite their future. Through trusted relationships, creative programmes, and skills development, we help young people grow confidence, build positive networks, and gain the tools they need to thrive. By creating safe spaces, offering real opportunities, and supporting young people to make positive choices, we help them stay on track, avoid the criminal justice system, and shape brighter, more positive futures.
Feeling Good
Confidence starts with taking care of you
At Open House, we’re here to help young people look after their mental health, build resilience, and feel good about themselves. Growing up isn’t always easy — but no one should face it alone. We create safe, supportive spaces where young people can talk, build confidence, and learn how to take care of themselves. All of our programmes are designed holistically by trained professionals to support wellbeing, boost self-esteem, and help young people develop the tools they need to cope with life’s challenges. For those who need a little extra support, we also offer 1:1 mentoring and therapy, providing personalised care to help young people feel stronger, more confident, and ready for the future.
